Clinical Development Neurology Position

In search of a physician career change opportunity or a new non-clinical career? An executive search firm working with a pharmaceutical company located in northern New Jersey is in search of the following professional: Vice President, Clinical Development (Neurology).

This is a newly created position with the unique opportunity to build and develop the clinical team.

 

 

Responsibilities:
* Build, develop and manage the clinical team.
* Develop clinical strategy and implement clinical studies utilizing CROs.
* Proactively meet the continually changing global clinical regulatory requirements.
* Represent the clinical interface for scientific/medical related issues with Regulatory Authorities.
* Liaise and develop support of the Key Opinion Leaders.
* Provide input into target identification and identification of medical unmet needs.
* Support R&D program by providing input into unmet needs for discovery programs.
* Provide clinical expertise and interact frequently with R&D teams.
* Liaise and provide medical perspective with regard to licensing and partnering activities.

 

 

Qualifications:
MD or MD/PhD.  Experience working in pharmaceutical in clinical development of novel small molecule therapeutics. Experience in development of Neurotherapeutics (Epilepsy, Neuropathic Pain, Anxiety, Bipolar, etc.). Experience in CNS drug development in all clinical phase I-II-III, especially phase II.
