To better your understanding of non-clinical career options and/or facilitate your physician career change, today we introduce you to Lorna Friedman, MD, MBA. Dr. Friedman is senior medical executive at Emblem Health in New York.
Her scope of responsibilities includes Quality Management, Wellness, and Disease and Case management. Prior to Emblem Health, Dr. Friedman spent 12 years at CIGNA in various roles including National Account Sales, Marketing, and most recently Emerging markets in the International division. She is a Pediatrician and received her training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as well as an MBA from Columbia School of Business. Dr Friedman continues to be active in improving the health of children and served as the March of Dimes prematurity campaign chair for the State of New York and currently serves on the Board of the American Council of Exercise. She is a member of the YWCA’s 2004 class of Women Leaders.
