Dr. Tonkens is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive and clinical cardiologist leveraging a comprehensive background in pharmaceutical/biotechnology product development, clinical research, CRO management, venture capital funding, and direct patient care. He has demonstrated success building clinical development organizations from the ground up, leading global medical teams in the execution of clinical trials from molecule to market, and delivering medical and scientific expertise to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, and venture capital organizations. Dr. Tonkens received his BA in psychology from Yale College and his MD from Yale University School of Medicine.
