A recruiting firm is in search of a trained Infectious Disease Physician who will assist in the development of new and innovative drugs to combat HBV and HCV.
The person should be a suitable candidate for an opportunity as an Associate Medical Director of Clinical development for Hepatic Disease Management as it relates to HBV and HCV.
He/She will develop Phases I-III clinical trials and make recommendations for HBV and HCV management including initiation of vaccine series to any susceptible, unvaccinated person who sustains a blood or body fluid exposure.
The Physician would clinically study postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) with hepatitis B immune globulin (HBIG) and/or hepatitis B vaccine series after evaluation of the hepatitis B surface antigen status of the source and the vaccination and vaccine-response status of the exposed person.
They would consider an academician who has done clinical trials with HBV and HCV patients during his or her tour of duty in major medical centers.
They need a candidate that can lead a team and yet take direction and keep his/her group focused and developing reproducible results.
The Physician would also study the opportunistic diseases that follow a HBV or HCV exposure as they relate to liver toxicity.
He/She would interface with regulatory agencies and provide medical leadership to his/her team of ancillary staff.
