The focus of the center – understanding the complex interaction of providers, suppliers, and purchasers in the healthcare system – requires insight from both management and medicine.
HSMC holds a unique niche at Case, exploring healthcare markets, organizations and systems. Areas of research interest include the pricing of hospital procedures, incentive systems in manages care, mergers and consolidation, and health policy as it effects organizational structure and value.
In education, the HSMC holds a reputation as the region’s premier provider os executive education in healthcare management and leadership. Offerings include Healthcare Executive Programs, the Physician Executive Institute, Women in Healthcare Leadership, Mental Health Executive Leadership and Custom Programs developed specifically for healthcare organizations.
