Medical thriller writer and physician Michael Palmer has completed his latest novel, “First Patient,” which will be released in a few months.

It is a political/medical thriller centering about President Andrew Stoddard’s one-time Naval Academy roommate, Gabe Singleton, who is now a small-town physician in Wyoming, still trying with only some success to work through the fallout from a tragic accident thirty years ago. Driving in an alcohol-induced black-out, Gabe killed a young woman and her unborn son. He was kicked out of the Academy and spent a year in prison.
