In search of a physician career change opportunity or a new non-clinical career? An executive search firm is looking to fill the position of Associate Director, Health Outcomes Research, for their client, a pharmaceutical company located in northern New Jersey.
This position will play a strategic role in designing and implementing corporate processes to ensure optimal market access, appropriate utilization and price attainment for all company products.
Responsibilities:
* Establish company as a preferred medical science research partner for academic thought leaders, co-development/promotion partners and strategic managed markets customers.
* Facilitate the acquisition of corporate expertise in Health Outcomes Research.
* Conduct training programs on utilizing Health Outcomes Research for internal colleagues as well as serve as a core member of cross-functional product commercialization and research teams to ensure the creation and implementation of optimal market access strategies.
* Serve as a core reviewer for the Publication Planning Team, assisting in the design and implementation of processes to increase research efficiency in all related activities.
* Establish a strong collaboration with external thought leaders to benchmark the success of the company against competitive companies.
* Partner with the Director of Reimbursement to contribute Health Economic expertise to the development of strategic pricing and reimbursement strategies.
* Partner with the Market Research and Managed Care Departments to conduct payer research and payer advisory boards, ensuring that appropriate price and reimbursement achievement estimates are utilized in product planning and forecasting activities.
* Accompany Medical Liaisons during strategic account presentations and/or research planning meetings to discuss health outcome research design.
* Design and implement Health Enhancement and Disease Management Programs, Quality Improvement Programs and similar brand and therapeutic area optimization projects.
Qualifications:
MD, PhD or Pharm.D. with Health Economics training or professional experience. 3-4 years of experience in Health Outcomes Research or similar research experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. It is also preferred that you have previous experience in strategic pricing and reimbursement as well as health Outcomes research.
