In search of a physician career change opportunity or a new non-clinical career? An executive search firm is looking to fill the position of Medical Director in Connecticut.

 

 

This position will be responsible for monitoring the safety profile of company products marketed in the US and in clinical development. Responsibilities include: medical review of adverse event reports in compliance with International and FDA regulations and guidelines; assisting with the preparation of aggregate reports (i.e. PSURs, NDA Periodic Report); detection and evaluation of potential safety signals; monitoring the risk / benefit profile of our products; providing education, training, and feedback to internal and external partners; maintaining the CCSI (company core safety info) for CCDSs under US responsibility; assisting with the monitoring and interpretation of drug safety metrics; and communication of safety issues to project teams and other stakeholders within the company and within the associated companies. Qualifications include: an MD required; graduate training in epidemiology or MPH or equivalent (e.g., MSc) preferred; a minimum 2-3 years of experience within pharmaceutical industry; and knowledge of Drug Safety Database(s), MedDRA, Statistics/Epidemiology, ICH and FDA regulations, MS Office applications.
