An executive search firm is looking to fill the position of Associate Medical Safety Officer in New Jersey.
Incumbent will be responsible for medical review and decisions concerning 15 day/Alert reports, causality/efficacy, clinical assessment/outcome, data inconsistency, and case closure. You will also analyze adverse event reports submitted by hospitals, medical centers and individual physicians regarding pharmaceutical products and respond to medical and clinical questions and issues regarding these cases. Additional responsibilities include: maintain appropriate FDA, legal and consumer contacts as assigned; submit reports to the Food and Drug Association and similar authorities in an applicable country of incidence; review medical aspects of safety reports, narratives (3500A, CIOMS, periodic, and PSUR); following domestic and international safety regulations; participate in client meetings to address medical issues regarding pharmaceutical safety; and assume responsibilities of a Senior Safety Monitor in processing of cases when volume dictates. Qualifications include: an MD or DO; 3-5 years clinical experience, including hospital, medical school or pharmaceutical company; 2-3 years of safety/pharmacovigilance experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and documented computer skills and capabilities.
