Mihael H. Polymeropoulos, MD, has served as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. since May of 2003.
Prior to joining Vanda, Dr. Polymeropoulos was Vice President and Head of the Pharmacogenetics Department at Novartis from 1998 to 2003. Prior to his tenure at Novartis, he served as Chief of the Gene Mapping Section, Laboratory of Genetic Disease Research, National Human Genome Research Institute, from 1992 to 1998.
Dr. Polymeropoulos is the co-founder of the Integrated Molecular Analysis of Genome Expression (IMAGE) Consortium. Dr. Polymeropoulos holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Patras.
