In search of a physician career change opportunity or a new non-clinical career? An executive search firm is seeking a Chief Medical Officer for a medical device company in New Jersey.

 

The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for providing scientific and professional leadership for all aspects of company’s US and global clinical research and development programs. He/She will ensure successful execution of the company’s current active clinical programs and set strategy for the effective management of future clinical trials from design, to execution, to timely regulatory filings and final clinical/statistical reporting for regulatory submissions. He/She will work with executive team to spearhead rigorous review of the company’s clinical pipeline and will assess the clinical utility and market opportunity of in-house and potential in-license opportunities. In addition to serving as liaison between the company and leading academic specialists, he/she will serve as corporate spokesperson for clinical matters to the Board of Directors, potential strategic partners and investors, communicating the progress, technical risks and key issues of the company’s clinical programs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
• MD with a least 8 years pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience in clinical development; experience with cardiovascular medical devices is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and communications skills to lead clinical programs and technical staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to forge strong working relationships
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
