In search of a physician career change opportunity or a new non-clinical career? Here is a rather interesting opportunity for a Physician with specialty training in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology.

 

An executive recruiter is seeking a Director of Clinical Development in Oncology Disease management.

 

Currently the pharmaceutical company client is running with several drugs in Phase II development and they would like this Physician to provide clinical insight and Leadership for the Client to move these drugs into their next stage of Clinical development.

 

The major duties for this opportunity that reports to the Vice President of Clinical Development of this Client is to develop continuing program strategies; develop new priorities and set compelling new opportunities in Oncology as these exciting drug evolve.

 

The Physician would establish and maintain relationship with third parties and all collaborative partners in these developing drugs.

 

Naturally the usual clinical trials, research and data collection with the implementation of GCP and ICH guidelines become part and parcel of the selected candidate’s responsibilities.

 

He/She would be the Client’s clinical spokesperson to scientific, business and regulatory agencies regarding the steps for drug approval.

 

A minimum of three years of Phase I-III clinical trials expertise and the ability to change course is preferable.

 

The Client would appreciate a referral that has solid understanding of the regulatory requirements for registration of a new Oncology drug.

 

He/She should be able to identify unmet clinical needs, evaluate product opportunities from a clinical perspective and develop clinical research, regulatory and QA strategies that lead to the efficient development of such opportunities.

 

He/She should have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements of new Oncology drugs, new formulations and new indications.

 

He/She must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate in a responsible manner.  They need a manager, with an open door policy who can focus his/her team to produce reproducible results.
