An executive search firm is currently looking to fill the following position: Director/Sr. Director Medical Affairs, in New York. The Director/Senior Director Medical Affairs will identify and attend relevant medical meetings and conferences and implement a plan to increase company awareness.
Responsibilities include: develop presentation materials useful for physicians and health care professionals; meet with key national and international physicians and nurses and provide them with a conduit to corporate scientific staff; help to develop disease management programs consistent with the mechanism of company products in development; accumulate competitive intelligence and current trends and provide input for strategic product planning; identify and develop key international opinion leaders; interact with Medical Affairs as a key reviewer of publications; and prepare abstracts & presentations for national and international medical conferences.
Qualifications include: MD required; five or more years industry and 3 or more years experience interacting at a high level with opinion leaders and outside doctors; excellent verbal presentation skills are required as well as facility with PowerPoint. You must have the ability to travel up to 35%.
