An executive search firm is looking to fill the position of Medical Director of Urology in Illinois.
The Medical Director of Urology plays an important role in the implementation of drug development programs for novel and existing compounds and will work closely with the local and global Drug Development Project Teams to ensure successful registration programs. This position plays a key role in the design, conduct, analysis, and reporting of Phase I-III clinical trials including protocol development, evaluation of safety information from ongoing studies, data analysis and interpretation, and report writing. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmaceutical products clinical development and may also possess experience in laboratory and/or clinical research, demonstrating a track record of designing experiments/trials, interpreting scientific data and taking projects to completion. Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to work independently on assigned projects. Qualifications include: an M.D. degree, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Designated Specialty; a minimum two years of experience in both laboratory or clinical research and pharmaceutical industry; strong working-knowledge of regulatory procedures and guidelines (preferably US); must be an effective team player in a matrixed R&D environment; the ability to work independently on all aspects of assigned projects; excellent presentation and writing skills; excellent organizational skills.
